The Oral Pathology Laboratory was established in 2013 and is part of the medical laboratory services at Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia (HPUSM). Since 2014, the laboratory has been accredited with MS ISO 15189 (Medical Laboratories – Requirements for Quality and Competence) by the Department of Standards Malaysia (DSM).
Our laboratory is equipped with modern facilities and advanced instruments, including a tissue processor, embedding station, microtome, tissue floating bath, slide warmer, and autostainer. Daily operations are carried out by an experienced team consisting of medical laboratory technologists and pathologists who are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality results.
Core Service: Histopathological Examination (HPE)
One of our core services is the Histopathological Examination (HPE), which is a fundamental and essential method in the field of histopathology.
Using the Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining technique, tissue structures can be precisely visualized and analyzed under the microscope. This enables clear identification of cellular morphology and tissue architecture, supporting accurate diagnosis and the detection of pathological changes.
Our Commitment
Whether you are a healthcare professional seeking diagnostic support or a researcher in the field of tissue biology, our histology services are designed to meet your needs with the highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.
