WELCOME TO ORAL PATHOLOGY LABORATORY

The Oral Pathology Laboratory was established in 2013. It originated from the Craniofacial Science Laboratory (CSL), which initially comprised diagnostic and research components. In the same year, the diagnostic services were separated under a new quality management system and formally established as the Oral Pathology Laboratory, while the research unit remained under CSL.

The laboratory provides Histopathological Examination (HPE) services as part of the medical laboratory services of Hospital Pakar Universiti Sains Malaysia. The laboratory was accredited to MS ISO 15189:2014 by Jabatan Standard Malaysia in 2014 and is now fully compliant with MS ISO 15189:2022, demonstrating its commitment to quality and competence.

ORAL PATHOLOGY LABORATORY

Laboratory Units :

Responsible for receiving, processing, examining, and reporting oral specimens for histopathological diagnosis.

Conducts research activities, including experimental studies and advanced histological techniques in oral and maxillofacial pathology.
