
All new users of Research Laboratory must register through the Sistem Tempahan Alatan Makmal Sains (https://stams.kk.usm.my/) to access lab equipment and facilities.
Sistem Tempahan Alatan Makmal Sains is a system used by PTJ at USM Health Campus to manage the booking applications for Equipment, Services and facilities offered from various PTJ at USM Health Campus centrally and applications for the use of laboratory equipment, services and facilities offered by PTJ at USM can be applied through system by users.
STAMS Application for New Lab User
1. Open Website
o Go to https://stams.kk.usm.my/
2. User Registration
o Register (only for first-time users)
3. Login
o Use registered credentials to log in
4. Fill in Application Details
o Navigate to: User → Application → Application Booking → New Application
o Search for Pusat Pengajian Sains Pergigian
o Select Apply Equipment
o Under Applicant Details, click Update (only for first-time users)
o Click Save & Next
o Add Equipment
o Add Facility
o Click Save & Next
o Fill in Duration/Purpose
o Click Save & Next
o Submit Application
5. Approval Process
o Wait for approval from Supervisor (SV) and Laboratory Manager (LM)
6. Final Step
o Lab staff will contact the user upon approval
